build a gallery in which you filter by category, then copy the link in the gallery under
Gmedia Post URL for current gallery: and paste it on your page as a link, you have a “filter” that only filters this category.

For displaying/filtering your albums you can use the modules
AlbumsView 2, Albums Switcher, AlbumsList or something similar

You can already adjust/change the filename during the upload process
You can also change the filename in the Gmedia Library and in the Album View via Batch Edit for multiple photos at the same time.
Depending on which module you use in the gallery, you can also hide the image title there, if that does not work, a workaround would be that you set the background and the text color of the title to the same value, then it is no longer visible

If you want to upload large video files, first upload the videos via SFTP to your webspace, into the video folder of the GMedia plugin.
Then you can use the import function of the gallery to select the video folder and sort the videos contained in it.

If I understand correctly, you are missing the cover image in the video? In the GMedia gallery you have to manually add a cover image to the video. Just click on the video in the album and then select the appropriate image in the “Custom Cover” field. I always create a screenshot of the video and upload it to the gallery.
