Somehow the option “Enable Rate Limiting and Advanced Blocking” was disabled.
I totally overlooked that one. Sorry to make such a mistake.

Strange things is that the option: “Immediately block IPs that access these URLs”
did not trigger the /?author=1 or /wp-login.php.

So, again sorry for my mistake.

First one:
I even checked the box option in Wordfence called:
” Prevent discovery of usernames through ‘/?author=N’ scans, the oEmbed API, the WordPress REST API, and WordPress XML Sitemaps”

So I thought that would work, guess not.

Second one:
No I don’t want to block myself, but only users/ bots that want to access that page.
I have setup an Hide Backend option with another plugin, so I don’t actually acces the /wp-login.php directly.

No problem about the delay. I also replied a bit late.

Tried your code. Works almost perfect! Made some little changes.
As you can see the first ( all portrait pictures ) have
the same problem.

Any suggestions would be great.

How can BackWPup access the wp-cron.php again like it did before?

Then the alternative cron can be disabled.
Because it’s strange that I need this “work around” get BackWPup
working again.

Hopefully I get rid of the “marketing stuff”, I like
BackWPup just the way it is.

How do you read the pastebin data ?

The line “Server self connect” contains a lot of “marketing” stuff from the
hosting provider, I think.

Do I have to place the GeoLite2-City.mmdb also there? Because now it’s not.

I took a look at the dflogs folder and noticed that there were several files
contained information or mentioned something like:
“This file is used by the Wordfence Web Application Firewall”.

I’m just being careful before going to delete stuff.

F.y.i. I use another plugin that also uses Geoip. Seems a good idea to put the database in a shared folder.
