Hi,
I’m having the same problem. The uploaded files do get uploaded, I can see them in the folder but they do not come with the mail as attachment or link.
I left the Upload Directory as it is because when I tried to change it I got the following error when trying to upload a file:
400 Bad Request: Traversal Attack! The files are stored in this folder:
/public_html/wp-content/uploads/wpcf7_drag-n-drop_uploads/2024-03-18-10-52-53(here I used the option “Generated Date & Time
2024-03-18 22:55:33
“) in the settings. In the mail I copied the name of the field into the attachments part of Contact Form 7: [upload-file-647]
But still it doesn’t seem to work. It used to work but I’m not sure how long it doesn’t work anymore.
@olivseo: you stated that the solution was this: “Switching to Drag & Drop Upload fixed the issue. Thank you!”
But what exactly is that setting? I can’t see it. Probably me, I know, but I’m kinda stuck right now.
Any help would be highly appreciated!
UPDATE:
I found it! Thought it would be nice to share with everyone:
What I eventually did was changing the Upload Folder, where it says *required, to wpcf7_uploads_myownfoldername. Where you can use any name you’d like for “myownfoldername”.
And now it works again!

The issue was resolved by setting the PHP version from 8.0 to 7.4.
Also tried updating to 8.1 and 8.2 but that didn’t work. So if you’re experiencing similar problems like I had I’d suggest looking at the PHP version your site uses.
