In reply to: [Photo Gallery, Sliders, Proofing and Themes - NextGEN Gallery] WatermarkingI started a Watermarking topic under “Plugins and Hacks”. Since Nextgen is a plugin, I thought this the appropriate place to post the topic.
So far, all I get is advice on posting my own topic (whatever that means), but no one focusing on the subject of my post, which is Watermarking issues in Nextgen. It simply does not work. It used to work, but somewhere along the update path it stopped working.

Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Issues with WatermarkingI am using WordPress 4.2.0, NextGen gallery 2.0.79 and theme TwentyEleven. I am using the standard bookmark functionality in NextGen gallery. Check my blog and you will see that the bookmarks are missing even though NextGen went through the motions to bookmark.
First, let me say that I like the new interface and flexibility of gallery settings. I had to install in a production environment in order to do any testing, but I have not been disappointed once I gained an understanding of how to set up my galleries. The documentation could have better explained the different types of display types and options available. I am posting a couple of bugs.

After installing NXTGEN 2.0 beta on my mac running Mamp (i.e. my non-production testing environment) I cannot edit any pages on my web site. The browser hangs when trying to open the edit screen. If I deactivate NXTGEN beta, everything is back to normal. I deactivated all plug-ins, thinking there might be some interaction, but that did not solve the problem. I have the latest version of Worpress and am using theme Twenty-Eleven.

In reply to: Internet Explorer Problems with TwentyElevenThe offending line was in header.php as you suggested. After moving as suggested, the site validation errors went away, but the problem as stated in my initial post still exists. Where do I look now?

In reply to: Internet Explorer Problems with TwentyElevenI am having trouble finding wordpress module (php file) containing the offending code. Can you help?
Since the middle of January the “allow comments” checkbox is now missing when making a new blog post. I am using the latest version of WordPress and the Twenty-eleven theme. The discussion and comments boxes are checked in the screen options. I can do a “quick edit” of the post and there is an “allow comments” box, but it does not show up when doing a full edit or new post. The appropriate boxes are checked in the “Discussion Settings” for the site.
This seems to be a theme issue, but I have not found any discussion that addresses quite this issue.

In reply to: [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] images appear under headerI am having the very same problem after upgrading to the latest WordPress and NextGen Gallery. I have disabled all plug-ins except NextGen and the problem persists. I am currently running under Mamp on my computer, but cannot consider moving to a live server with this kind of problem.

In reply to: 2011 Child Theme Problems When Running Under MAMP on Mac!!Problem Solved!!
My TwentyEleven child theme was created using TextEdit on the mac, which creates an RTF file. This does not work as a css file. I had to create the child file using a true text editor and the problem was solved.

In reply to: 2011 Child Theme Problems When Running Under MAMP on MacIs is possible that my problem is related to running under a simulated server (MAMP on my Mac) rather than a live server?

In reply to: 2011 Child Theme Problems When Running Under MAMP on MacYes. That is what I am normally using on the site.
