So WP All Import does not import any XML file like it says everywhere and like it comes up in search results everywhere and like I can see it says next to the logo?

So why not make sure and let potential users know that WP All Import is NOT for any XML file?

Regarding the infamous WP Importer: Have you seen the unanswered support threads? Have you seen the ratings? That plugin is foobar and like so for months.

Would not be here if www.ads-software.com would get their act together and support a plugin with 1M+ installs. But apparently no one over there feels responsible or can be asked to either reply to support threads or actually patch the darn thing.

So either pay for premium plugins that then also are apparently not for importing XML files or be left on one’s own.

You see like so many other people out there importing test data into a theme is essential for developing a theme. Not being able to do that is messed up.

Loosing highly valuable time with trying to get the test data imported rather than actually working on the theme. Trying alternatives but like you say, even WP All Import does not seem to be able to import that XML file from wptest.io.

Then what plugin can do that?

If you point me to a working alternative that works out of the box and does not have to be purchased I will edit my rating to 100% since you helped me.

Otherwise it would be a great idea to inform potential users that WP All Import does not import any XML file.

No, WP is installed in something like root/www/wp/some-theme-name/ for example.

Deleted the plugin but happy to give this another shot once I have the dev environment set up again. Re-installing WAMP to check for errors and if that does not help going to give XAMPP a shot.

Regarding your plugin, I have installed it from the Dashboard. If I run WP from a dir that is NOT the root is there another installation procedure that I should use?

Have you seen wptest.io ? Try download a ZIP from them and then tell me please: Would I at all be able to import that XML file, Pages, Users, Posts and Media they provide with the default settings of your plugin or would I have to buy the pro version to be able to get Users or Pages or Posts, etc imported in one go?

It won’t do it, it is broken since month, forget about this one. Not supported, none of the devs care, no replies. Spent 2 days trying to import data with this. Always throws a different error. Timeout set way up, similar to your settings, still errors come up. Give this a pass and safe time and keep sane.

Regardless of the dispute and possibly wrongfully submitted information, the fact that you publish personally identifiable payment information publicly including a screenshot of the customers details is very very wrong in my opinion.

We should take this further to all channels and levels with all proof we got against your claiming note that may have sensitive information’s also, if not responded.

Threatening customers, no matter how malicious you think they are make me loose all trust full stop.

I am sure there is a TOS for www.ads-software.com that forbids posting personal information. Yes it is irrelevant to the review section and does not or should not count towards a review per se, but reacting like this and infringing on privacy rights, hmm, now that is a different league and I am defiantly not playing in this league.

Think about what impact this has on other customers. I got here looking for a WP Import tool since the normal WP Importer has issues, reading this review and seeing all this personal info posted as some sort of “revenge” possibly while being angry about the way you got treated, that is wrong, EVEN if the customer did not behave correctly.
