Apparently the issue of displaying event types that are not included in the shortcode type list is not resolved in the calendar view, either. I thought it was resolved, but as you can see here there are event types included that should not be. (Those event types have their background color and text color both set to white. In the example shown it is a newsletter ad.)

In reply to: [EventPrime – Events Calendar, Bookings and Tickets] Filter QuestionHere is the shortcode I was using: [em_events view=”square_grid/staggered_grid/rows/month/week/day” types=”43,44,46,56,145,164″ upcoming=”1″ disable_filter=”0″]
If I take out the view list, or change it to view=”month”, the search works as expected. My Bad!
Thank you for your always great support.
That works for the slider view. The user cannot select a different view.
It does not work for the listweek view. The user is able to select other views. Not a big deal for my use, but shouldn’t this be consistent? Here’s the shortcode I’m using for the listweek: [em_events view=”listweek” types=”43,44,46,56,145,164″ disable_filter=”1″]
Perhaps the ability to disable changing views should be different from the ability to filter or search for events (which is what I would expect disable_filter to do).
Works perfect. And looks great! Thank you.
This bug is resolved in version 4.0.3.1
I tested by creating an event for November 1, 2024 at 1:15 am. Set it to repeat (custom dates) on Nov 2, 3, 8, 9 & 10. Published the event. All 6 events were created. I then chose to edit the November 1 event. I changed the start time to 2:15 am and clicked update. When asked I chose this occurrence only. Only the one event was changed.
Thank you for resolving this issue.
Tested with version 4.0.3.1.
One of the problems is fixed. The calendar view no longer displays past events. Thank you.
The other problem is partially resolved. On the calendar view, only the selected event types are displayed. However, on the listweek view, all the event types are still displayed. See screen image here. This is the shortcode I am using:
[em_events view=”listweek” types=”43,44,46,56,145,164″ upcoming=”1″ disable_filter=”1″]
Problem is resolved in 4.0.3
Thank you
Neither of these two issues are resolved in version 4.0.3.
It is still displaying events of all types, rather than just the types specified in “types=” list. I changed the background and text color both to white so they can’t be read, but that still leaves “empty” white area. This image shows an events list with the event types that are not supposed to be there as white on white.
It is still displaying past events even though “Hide past events from event lists” is set to on. This image shows the past events (as well as the white on white event types that should not be included).
This bug is not resolved in version 4.0.3. I created an event for October 1, 2024 at 1:00 am. Set it to repeat (custom dates) on Aug 2, 3, 8, 9 & 10. Published the event. All 6 events were created. I then chose to edit the October 1 event. I changed the start time to 2:00 am and clicked update. When asked I chose this occurrence only. All 6 events had their start time changed to 2:00 am.

In reply to: [EventPrime – Events Calendar, Bookings and Tickets] using the slider viewI published a test page. Here’s the link: https://mn-act.net/index.php/9278-2/
I also got it to work for “this month”, but I’m really after “this week”. Actually 7 days starting today.
Here’s the shortcode from this test page: [em_events view=”slider” types=”43,46,56″ upcoming=”1″ disable_filer=”1″ individual_events=”this month”]
Another oddity: On our original home page (without the slider), the upcoming events section looks like this image: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/uyybrioo11tio3sg35vbu/homepage_upcoming_events.jpg?rlkey=3qpo2s064ynklmhxg8r7yiau5&dl=0 On the new test page (the original home page with the slider added at the top) the upcoming events section looks like this (I did change the “upcoming Events” to “This week’s events”) https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/4lx20jychcsc0zf6tclaw/testpage_upcoming_Events.jpg?rlkey=7ujg7oddbodqgs9dtbdfos8ht&dl=0

This is fixed in version 4.0.2. Thank you for your quick resolution.
I have tested this fix (in version 4.0.2) as follows:
I created a new event for August 30 at 7:00 pm. I selected to repeat using custom dates. I selected August 31 and Sept 1 as the custom dates and clicked publish. All three events were created correctly. (Including having the venue assigned for all events.)
Then I chose to edit the first (August 30) event. I changed the start time to 6:00 pm and clicked update. When asked, I left the selection on “this occurrence only”. All three events had heir start time changed to 6:00 pm.
I again chose to edit the first event. I changed the start time to 3:00 pm and clicked update. This time I clicked on “all occurrences” and then back on “this occurrence only”. Again all three events had their start time changed to 3:00 pm.
So, editing just the first of a custom date repeating event no longer deleted the repeat events. That issue is fixed. However when editing the original event, the ‘this occurrence only” option seems to be ignored and all occurrences get changed instead.
The Event Calendar Newsletter (ECN) team has fixed the issue and EventPrime V4.x is now supported by ECN. Many thanks to the ECN team for the quick fix.
It reinstalled the update, again, automatically! How do I disable auto-updates? It’s no longer an option on the plugins admin page.
