Yes, they appear in the users list. I was expecting to see them as Customers too, but knowing they appear after an order is placed is good.

I am only just setting up my WooCommerce shop. I have imported customers into two different online shops over the last ten years, and they simply appear as customers. So I was expectating the same here. I am not up to speed with the relationship between WP and WC.

I just imported another user with the role “Customer”, but it did not appear as a Woocommerce customer. I have read elsewhere that imported customers will not appear until there are orders, so I added an order and the customer appeared.

Ok, so I need to import customers rather then users.

Incidentally, I was able to place an order in Woocommerce with this test user (and with the discount applicable to the role), the order appears in the list, and an invoice can be printed. But even with an order, there is no customer. I find that a bit wierd…

I have custom roles and set the import role to wcwp_wholesale, which was what appears in the users when a customer is given the role ‘Retailers”. With 1500 customers to import I am trying to avoid having to go through them one-by-one and set them to their required role. I will try with the Woocommerce role of “Retailers”
