I am having the same problem. My “link” tool on “Pages” is not working. ?? I highlight a word, click “Add/edit link,” and select the URL to link it to, and click ‘Add Link’ The Add Link box closes and the word is there without a link. Help!!

Okay – I figured it out!

I added a new page and titled it “Home”

I went to ‘Appearance’ and ‘Menus’

I added the “Home” page to the menu.

Then I went to ‘Settings’ and ‘Reading’

There I changed “Front page displays” to “A Static Page” (I originally thought it should be my latest posts b/c that is what I want to show up on the front page.)

After making it “A Static Page” – I clicked under “Posts Page” and selected “Home”

Wa la. WordPress is so tricky, yet you feel dumb once you figure it out – like I should have known that!

Thank you Jerry. Yes, the theme I’m using supports custom menus and that is how I have the menu toolbar set up. I can create a “Home” menu… but how do I get the “Home” menu to link to the Front Page with all my blog posts when it is clicked?
