I dont use the uploader because it limits it to 2mb. I use winscp to upload to the wp-content folder which has ben chmod’d to 777.

I was able to do it before but that was with a different version of wordpress. thanx for the link. im reading it now.

So i cant use winscp to upload to me server? thanx. I will contact them and see what can be done

Ya, I have www.ads-software.com running at 07x.net and i really like that. i used to have a wordpress.com account but found that www.ads-software.com allowed me to put whatever i wanted in it.

Looks as if i might have to register my domain name and then have it redirect to 07x.net where i keep my page.

DOH, forgot about dynamic dns stuff. Yes i think it was the webmaster tools. Hmm, so what i need to do is A, either register my name with a real service or B create a blogspot with google and have it redirect to my actual site.

Are there any other options that are, well, free? i would like it so that the grill of my dreams somehow leads to my page.. I think option B is nice BUT i doubt google will allow that.

OMG. sooooo sorry. i completly forgot i had this thread. I had so much homework i forgot about my website. Ok so i need to copy the line from single.php (which is the one that allows them to post comments on blog posts) and then paste it into the page.php?

Ok i went to settings > permalinks and noticed it was set to custom with /blog so i changed it to /%category%/%postname%/ which seemed to work.

What im trying to do is make this as user friendly as possible. I noticed on the pro version, there blog would display only a few sentences for each post. then you click on the title and it takes you to the full post. Is that a theme option or a actual wordpress option?? Under settings and readings i checked the summery button for how i want article feeds to be displayed but that didnt do it..

I have noticed that when i download themes there are two ways from the wordpress site. one link from the preview flash screen and the other from the main screen for the theme.

Ok found it. settings then under reading you can select front page displays and select the static page you created..

i was able to do it with my WP page. My home page is a static page. It WAS under options in the top left of the page. You first create your homepage and then go under options and select it as the home page.. I dont know why its not there anymore. For some reason i cant seem to find it… sory. but i was able to do it in the past. i have never updated my WP so i dont know why it aint there.
