Let’s me clarify one thing, every payment options should work the same way on the system, otherwise it will create problem now or in the future, in my country not every people use the credit card to buy or book something.

I know that as long as I change to online payment today, this problem will not exist, but this does not mean that you can claim that the payment method I chose has technical problems, so ask me to change to a payment method that my customer doesn’t want to use to solve the problem we met. For me, the experience of using the plug-in is actually good, but the solution to the problem should not be encountered like this. I have also thought about how to solve these problems. Normally, the most convenient and reasonable way is to have multiple units of the same room type after booking deduct the units booked itself and only allow the remaining units to continue to be displayed on the search page(But you say it is technical problem). Just like a room type with only one unit will be successfully locked after booking and will not be released to the search page again until the payment time expires. It doesn’t make sense that the function of locking the reserved room is already available, but it cannot be used for multiple units room types.

Having said that, the solution you provided uses automatically confirmed bank transfer to ensure that each order is closed without overbooking. It is not that I have not taken this option into consideration, but the subsequent problems will be very troublesome. First of all I have to confirm one by one whether my confirmed order is paid, but there is no button or status that can be changed at this time because the order status is already confirmed. As far as I know, the only way to additionally mark confirmation of payment is to use the booking color-tags, or enter the order using the note function to mark the order as paid. Secondly, the dashboard which will be used by customers mostly to check this week’s orders or upcoming orders, but here I can’t see any place to display color-tags or order notes. You can only click them one by one to see each order details to know if this order be paid. Setting your payment method to auto-confirmed can cause these subsequent problems.

So what I need are some guides to solve this problem properly.

Thanks for your response and explanation.

    Below is my understanding.

So if the bank_transfer is the only payment choice for my customers, the only way to not let my room overbooking is automatically set the booking confirmed so the booking can occupy the rooms in the system to prevent over booking.

But the same time I need to set many reminders manually to remind me to check the booking if they already pay it, and if they didn’t within 3 days(I set 3 days) then I have to cancel it manually, but in my opinion this doesn’t make sense, the function I want is to make the booking status “waiting for payment” occupy the rooms in system and don’t let other people over book my rooms and after 3days if they don’t pay, the booking will cancel automatically.

Hope I can get a solution in this situation.
