Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Vimeo] Allow users to upload videos@vimeodev thank you, I’m cheering for this to be greenlit after your team’s consideration. Outside this plugin the functionality itself already exists (see Use the API to let others upload to my account), but it’s not quite user-friendly and requires a significant API background to implement. Since this WordPress plugin already provide an upload form, enabling us to link our OAuth 2 token from My Apps to authenticate API requests (and therefore allow users to upload to our Vimeo accounts by having that form available as a visible element in the front-end via a shortcode or whatnot) would be a great next step for the upload functionality. I’ll be following the updates closely!
I made a clean install of WordPress and exported my blog over there. It solved my issue.
Hi Stef,
Thank you for your help! I toggled off the setting you mentioned and it fixes my problem. Automatically approving all comments was not ideal, but I think I can work with that. Thank you again. ??
Hi Stef!
Thank you very much for creating an issue about it.
I was also wondering if I can do it locally through the plugin editor, since the feature proposal can be dismissed or take a lot of time to actually be implemented. At the same time, I may have underthought its complexity — but knowing if it is possible would be enough for me to give it a try.
By the way, do requests like this usually take much time to be approved/disapproved? Months, years? I only got to know this GitHub repositories yesterday and don’t really know what’s the pace, that’s why I ask. Again, thank you very much for your reply!
