olsonsp4c – I am thinking about going to another plugin for publicity. I love the look of Jetpack, but the FB is the problem. It won’t grab the images. It works sometimes, but not always, and I’d rather keep Wordfence because I think they’re really helpful.

I sent you an e-mail as well. Ran into this info because I was having problems getting Jetpack Social Sharing option to work with Facebook.

On the Jetpack site in the known issues section – Here: https://jetpack.me/troubleshooting/known-issues/

It says the following:

WordFence, Better WP Security, Login Security Solution

These plugins block access to your site’s XML-RPC file. This file is used by Jetpack to connect to WordPress.com, and must be accessible at all times. You will consequently need to configure these plugins to make sure that your site’s XML-RPC is publicly accessible.

The crazy thing is that when I clicked on the above links after getting your reply, they worked fine.

I had a new post that had the same problem, ran it through the de-bugger and it said the same message. The next time I tried to post it, it worked fine.

I’m not sure if there is a relationship to the two, just thought I’d share.

Hey, guys, this is weird and I’m not sure if it’s only me but, once I put the affected link into FB debugger and ran it… it no longer had the problem. Could this somehow be a fix?

I made a comment about the same thing. I’ve got links to 2 posts on my thread you can look at. I’m holding off on making any changes so you can see.

Hi guys,
After testing a bit more I find the FB share button works for MOST of my posts, but not all of them! It works for my posts with videos, and my “current events” posts, but not my posts with food. Weird.

Also, how do I deactivate this plugin? when I go to learn more or configure I see no option to deactivate.

Unfortunately, my site is private because I’m just moving everything over. I don’t have any error logs. Is there a place these images may have gone where I couldn’t find them? They weren’t in the media file.
