Thanks for your response. It looks like the code has changed since the aforementioned post.
What I tried to do was take
html( ‘select’, array( ‘name’ => $name ),
‘<option></option>’,I changed it to
html( ‘select’, array( ‘name’ => $name ),
‘<option>-select all-</option>’,It’s trying to find something called “-select all-” rather than ignoring it, /?glass=-select+all-&hardware=brushed-nickel&testh=-select+all-
So it goes to the 404 page.If the first drop down is simply blank, it does ignore the first field but I think it’s confusing for the user because they don’t know what a blank field means, so I was trying to put text in there to indicate what it means.
…/hardware/brushed-nickel/?glass&testh“Glass” is blank, “Brushed Nickel” is selected, “Testh” is blank. It picks everything with Brushed Nickel regardless of the other criteria.
Thanks again for your help.
Thanks for the information. Where would you put that code? I am using the taxonomies with Pages. Thanks again.
Well, actually the above post solves a different problem.
Putting text in the first option drop-down such as “all available” -and- having the drill-down *ignore* that text is something else. Any ideas?Well, gosh I wish we could delete these things. Found it!

I was only having problems with IE 7 and IE 8, and then just intermittently. It works fine on Chrome, Firefox and even on my Iphone with Safari.
Initially I was able to see error text in my browser that showed there was a conflict with a plug in called Connections. I wasn’t using it anyway so I deactivated and deleted. I still have images not loading intermittently in IE7 and IE 8 – like everyone else it seems like if the cache is clear, the images show up. Like, if you go to a fresh computer and open the site in IE, it’s OK. It seems to be cycling through the posts but not showing images.
Removing all the plugins and re-activating didn’t help a lot because it’s so intermittent. I think I’ve found the culprit and then the problem reappears. The problem happens in the default TwentyTen theme also so I don’t think it’s the theme.
I was using the newest version of Frontpage-Slideshow. So, I downgraded to .8 and installed manually. Same result.
I really like this plugin a lot and would like to use it but unfortunately IE is still the most-use browser so I can’t have this not work.

Someone on another forum pointed out to me that the List Category Post plugin stopped working on his site as well when he used .7 and when he went back to .6 it worked fine – fortunately I still had the old version on my computer and after deleting the .7 version and uploading .6 it works again. Whew.
