I also have a website with WPML, and I checked on this and found out that it creates additional XML sitemap files for each language. So if you have for example french language, you can go to /fr/sitemap.xml (assuming you are using the directory structure).
However, I think it would be nice to have in the main sitemap.xml a reference to each front page language.
How did you manage this?
