Yes, that is what I said. I was not aware of being blocked until I visited backend login.
That is even better, because I do not want intruders to be informed of anything in any way, and default backend login link is going to be changed. That way the protection is fulfilled.

You said that Cerber is based on Limit login attempts, which is atm still the most popular plugin for this type of protection, however it is starting to be outdated, and the only quality solution is Cerber next to LLA.
Other features that cerber has are cool, because I do not need to add this tweaks manually to functions.php or w/e.
I am sure that cerber is going to get really popular in no time.

Good. Anyway, I will stick with the ‘Ultimate mm’ as long as it works for me.

The only feature that really matters and why would anyone use maintenance mode in first place is available in this ”deprecated” version, which is free and that works perfectly.

I use maintenance mode rarely. Almost never, and when I do, it is for maintenance reasons that last from 1-5 hours tops.
.. and btw ”I love you man”. your logo is always there, under the default maintenance message. ??

This plugin is awesome, not bloated and admin is not affected with ‘maintenance’ mode.

After new version update, things got back to normal.

Yes but this is not the issue. The plugin worked just fine before.
I have duplicated site on a subdomain where I didn’t update UM for a few versions. The site with caching plugin works fine.

When I deactivate all plugins, clearing all cache, completely removing any trace of caching etc the problem still persist.

Try looking few versions back to check out what got changed.

When I activated the plugin. And made options. I cant remember it but I will replicate the issue once I get the time and report. But thank you for clearing this out for me.
I think that this plugin is great, but it is not for me. I do not experiment with database types etc. and I hope wp devs and other developers that use wp have a great benefit testing things out messing with other databases types and other stuff you’ve mentioned.
