If I insert the ‘target=”_blank”‘ it is removed. So allowing a link that could ‘possibly’ be used for evil purposes in the same window is allowed but allowing it in a ‘new’ window isn’t?

Come on…that’s a lame argument.

Just allow the tag to be used. That way a developer like me who wants a link to open in a different tag has that ‘design’ ability.

For this website displaying a portfolio of websites designed, the client wishes it to open in a separate tab yet leave his website in the tab as there are other portfolio’s that the viewer might like to view without having to hit the ‘back’ button or hold the SHIFT key which a ‘lot’ of people are clueless.

One I followed your suggestions to determine the issue and doing a bit of research, I edited the PHP.INI file in the wp-admin directory to add “max_input_vars = 3000”. I disabled the WP Max Submit Protect plugin, tested and that fixed the issue.

In reading the link, I installed WP Max Submit Protect and it now shows the correct price for the 6 different variables. What does this tell you?

I regret the multiple posts, emails and Facebook posts but this was a critical problem.

This is a large, live website doing orders constantly during the day. I feel a bit uneasy trying to use WP Staging or any other migration tool to create a staging site, then find/fix this issue, then migrate back to the live site.

I could simply create a clone via cPanel backup/restore to a different domain. This would allow me to test this on a completely different service other than HostGator, although I don’t think the hosting environment is the issue. But if it is, then I could get with HostGator techs to see if they can ascertain why this is not working on their hosting services.

Do you think this sounds like a credible way to eliminate the hosting environment?

Yes, I had already done a full conflict test with disabling all but WooCommerce plugins and using the Twenty-Twenty Three default theme. No change.

I cleared all transients and I purged the site cache, which incidentally was empty. I checked the WooCommerce Status Logs and there were no fatal error logs, only 2 types, wc-image-regeneration that was before this issue and woocommerce-paypal-payments which can’t be the issue as payments come after the shopping cart has been populated.

Honestly, this is simply dumbfounding.

I found the issue. It wasn’t the API code. It was the Calendar ID! ??

Resolved sounds great but not when you have to spend 15-20 minutes each on 70+ websites. ??

For those facing the same issues, here is a step by step:
1) Log into your control panel (cPanel, Plesk, etc)
2) Go to your File Manager
3) Navigate to wp-content > plugins
4) Rename cleantalk-spam-protect to bypass-cleantalk-spam-protect
5) Rename security-malware-firewall to bypass-security-malware-firewall
6) Log into your website WordPress admin panel
7) Navigate to Plugins
8) Delete Anti-Spam by Cleantalk
9) Delete Security by CleanTalk
10) Reinstall both plugins and click the ‘Synchronize with Cloud‘ button. On the spam plugin, click ‘Save Changes‘
10.a) the database settings for both plugins should be unaffected so synchronizing should be all that is required. If not, then just reconfigure both
10.b) you might get a warning on the security plugin about “WRONG_SITE_RESPONSE ACTION“. After synchronizing, refresh the page and this should go away
11) Go back to your control panel File Manager & ensure the two bypass folders are gone. If not, you can safety delete those.

It appears that in order to log in, I have to rename the Cleantalk plugins, both Spam and Security, after logging in , delete both plugins and re-installed / configure in order to restore site to full functionality. I’m not sure exactly what happened but developer testing should have caught this.
