Turns out WP wouldn’t let me go back to exactly how the site was set up before; my hosting company restored the backup from the correct time but then when I tried to go to WP Admin Dashboard got a window from WP ‘have to update database’; obliged to do that for access, then the plugin Custom Header Images didn’t work. Soooooo, have updated back to WP 4.4. and am running plugin Unique Headers which like every other plugin I’ve tried seems unable to put a specified header image atop the ‘Blog’ (Posts Page). N.B. my Front Page is a static page called Home, if that makes any difference.

P.p.s. turns out it was an outdated plugin, Custom Header Images, not yet tested with the newest version of WordPress. I’ve searched for another plugin but none of them seem to be able to put a custom image on the Blog page. So I am now reverting to the previous version of WordPress… unless someone can recommend a plugin that is capable of placing a fixed, specific, unique image at the top of every page, including the top level Blog page, and post? Or a code fix, but I don’t know any code.

P.S. I have tried creating a new page and the custom header option does not work, even with the Header image hidden. Is this a loss of functionality with the new version of the free version of Spacious?
