In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] Does your plugin do cross device login?Hi there,
If you had never logged in on your phone, you would have to Login I’m afraid. But then if you returned to your website on your phone, it would automatically log you back in.
Hope this helps!

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] Not working on MultiSite cross-browser?Thanks for the details Patrick.
Just to make you aware, this might take a bit more time to fix than I’d usually like. Mainly because I myself have never used a multi-site setup! So I’ll be getting my head around that, then looking at how to make Persistent Login compatible.
Hope you can bare with me and thanks again for the information!

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] Not working on MultiSite cross-browser?Hi Patrick,
Thanks for getting in touch and raising the issue.
This isn’t a known issue, I’ll setup a multi site instance and do some testing on my end.
Thanks,
LukeHi there,
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you!
Can I just check what version of WP you are using, and if you attempted to activate the plugin again after receiving this error?
I’ve just updated the plugin, so it may be worth trying again (with the latest version of WP) to see if it is working now.

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] Works on Android devices too?Hi there,
I don’t actually have access to an Android device to test this out, but I can’t imagine there would be an issue with Android specifically.
Feel free to give the plugin a try and let me know how you get on though!

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] Broke WordPressHi Elja,
I’m sorry you’ve had issues with the plugin.
I would just note that it says on the plugin page It requires WordPress 4.9.4 or above.
I’m afraid both websites you’re trying to use it on are below that version number, so there are no guarantees the plugin will work.
I would strongly recommend updating your websites to the latest version of WordPress if possible to avoid any vulnerabilities there might be in older versions of WordPress.

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] Fatal ErrorHi, I’m a little confused by that error, it doesn’t mention of WP Persistent Login until the very end where it says:
[do_action()]{“success”:true,”data”:{“delete”:”plugin”,”slug”:”wp-persistent-login”,”plugin”:”oowp-persistent-login\/wp_persistent_login.php”,”pluginName”:”WordPress Persistent Login”}}
The entire error above seems to be related to a plugin called ‘wpvr’. Are you able to try disabiling this plugin while you try to activate the premium version of WP Persistent Login?
Also, could I get some information on your server setup? Eg. Windows or Linux, what PHP version you’re on and also what version of WordPress you’re running?
Thanks

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] Fatal ErrorHi there,
Apologies for the issue, I have just tried upgrading myself to double check, and the install went through okay for me.
Can I just check that you’ve downloaded the premium version of the plugin, and that you’re uploading it by visiting Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. And also that the free version of Persistent Login is deactivated?

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] 500 Server Error on Update to Version 1.3.0Thanks for the information Mike.
I am having a look, so far I’ve tested updating the plugin on php 7 and php 5.6 with success, but of course on my server.
As each server setup is different, I wonder if you would mind running this plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/) to setup a staging version of your website? I could then have a look at the issue first-hand and hopefully find a solution?
It basically copies your website to mysite.com/staging for testing purposes. You can then delete the staging site once finished.

On a side-note, I would recommend using this plugin all the time before making any major changes to your website (eg. new themes, plugins, updates) as it avoids the issue of your actual website going down.

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] 500 Server Error on Update to Version 1.3.0Ah yes, not too useful. Okay, can I just check what version of PHP you’re on please?
I’ll do some testing to see if I can replicate. It may take a little time as we’ve not got much to go on with it being a 500 error.
I’ll report back when I’ve made some progress.
In the meantime, you can reinstall 1.2.3 from the Development tab on the plugin directory of you’d like to keep using the plugin.

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] 500 Server Error on Update to Version 1.3.0Hi Mike,
Apologies for the issue!
Are you able to provide your error log to me so that I can take a look?
This should be accessible through FileZilla in a file called error.log (usually) either in the root of your WordPress website, or in the wp-content folder.

In reply to: [WordPress Persistent Login] Having trouble installingHi there,
Sorry to hear you’re having issues with the plugin!
I’ve recently re-written the plugin to improve the compatibility of it across different setups.
I’m just testing this new version at the moment, then I’ll be releasing it.
If you’re able to hang on for a week or two, the new version should be live and I would expect this issue to be resolved in the new version.
I can send you an update on this thread once it’s ready to download if you’d like?
Thanks,
LukeHi, there will be an update to the plugin this week which should fix for this issue.
Thanks for your patience!
