In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] Beware the Bait and Switch BLC2 ScamIf this were true — “WPMU DEV is committed to always providing the best plugins and experience for you” — you would answer the question that’s been asked here multiple times — can you tell us how long the old version of the plugin will be kept around? I have yet to hear an answer.

In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] Do not update to V2I won’t go over the issues everyone else has been reporting. But thank you for the information, I think, that eventually V1 will be sunset. Oh, by the way, your company’s policy of not allowing us to delete our newly created accounts is not a good look.

In reply to: [Broken Link Checker] WPMUDEV … BLC 2.0 :(Glad you can still use the old version… but how long will you keep it around?
Many thanks @chrisvrichardson and @rossfraser2020 … I was on an impromptu overnight without my computer so wasn’t able to check this thread earlier.

In reply to: [EWWW Image Optimizer] EWWW conflicts with image-compare blockThanks! As it turns out, you weren’t way off at all — disabling your lazy loader (which I was using) fixed the issue.
Thanks for the quick help!

In reply to: Choosing replacement for abandoned themeThanks @jameskoster. Any thoughts as to the longevity of themes like Seedlet (Blocks) and Blockbase? The Blockbase site seems to indicate it’s transitional… which sounds great for someone like me unless it’s going to be dropped more quickly than not.
It is important to recognise that universal themes are a temporary measure. As the Site Editor continues to improve and more features are added, the need for universal themes will diminish. These wrappers will be made obsolete and in time universal themes will become block themes.
Of course, one might say that as the Site Editor does continue to improve it might not be that much of a pain to convert from a universal to a block theme.
Any thoughts from you or anyone else reading would be most welcome.
Thank you!!

In reply to: [Twenty Twenty-Two] Unable to preview 2022 themeI was wondering this myself. I just ended up creating a clone of writesofway.org at test.writesofway.org, installing the new theme there, and trying things out.
Will do!
Thanks! How strange it loaded for you correctly.
I added js/jquery/ui to the exclusion list and the error message is now gone. Thank you for your help!!It’s https://www.writesofway.org/w-semple-street/ or really almost any page on https://www.writesofway.org/post-street-name-index/. It would be great if you could take a look as well… thanks!
Thanks… that didn’t work. Any other ideas or do you think I need to ask the MapPress folks what’s going on?
Thanks! Now I feel silly for not trying to uninstall and reinstall first. All is now working.

In reply to: [Insert Special Characters] Apostrophes and quotation marks? Thanks! The unicode values for the punctuation are U+2018 ; U+2019 ; U+201C ; U+201D
And actually, now that I look at it, you already have a bunch of fractions in the system — https://imgur.com/a/noXsHvl — I think the most useful additions would probably be ?, ?, and ?, or U+2150 ; U+2151 ; and U+2152.
Thank you!!
