I’m still having this kind of issue but it seems to be isolated to just links to forum posts (bbPress). Normal blog post links seem to be fine.

I would also like to know the answer to this. Which div, iframe or class have to style to make it responsive?

I am on the same boat, I found SimpleModal to be so nice while testing but can not put it on the production site because of the redirect problem.

This feature would be nice.

Solved.

BuddyPress Sliding Login Panel plugin was the culprit. After deactivated it, all went back to normal.

Now to work on trying to find a fix or equivalent to that plugin. Hopefully someone that might encounter with the same problem can find this thread.
