Maybe your theme makes them smaller with responsive images feature. Which page are we talking about? Could you please show us.

Do you mean combine/minify cache of Clearfy plugin? You can disable on the Performance page of Clearfy settings. Just disable all the optimization on Minify (Html/JS/CSS) tab.

Thanks for your feedback, we’ll concern addition of such an option. All the compressing is done by external servers so it’s up to them to change the algorithm. But we’ll discuss addition of some kind of comparing.

The plugin shouldn’t resize thumbnails, only compress them. Here is the screenshot.
Resizing large images option affects only originals, not the thumbnails. Thumbnails are only compressed and you can specify which ones to optimize with checkboxes below.

Why uninstall the plugin if you can use scheduled optimization? It will work in the background.
Still, if you wan’t to uninstall it, than it won’t leave anything in the database.

Concerning optimization time: it depends on the server you are using. Some servers are faster, than the others. The best solution is to use scheduled optimization and manual.

Scheduled optimization works on WordPress hooks. So if your site is visited more frequently the optimization will work.
