  • I use WinSCP for ftp communicataion with my wordpress website. I do see any ability in it to access the indicated zip file and download it to my computer so that I can unzip it. Any help would be appreciated.

The screenshots involved are the following. They are obtainable in alodar.com/blog/wp-content/uploads. ( This is my first time at this and I am not sure that you need a special access to see them or not)

DownloadsItems. png – this shows the two files put into the plugin settings, one with an id of 820 and the other with 831

DownloadsAccess.png – this shows that the endpoint is wp-content/uploads.

SourceFiles.png – this shows that the files exist in the endpoint wp-content/

Invitation1.pgn – shows the typical download invitation for the first file. The second one looks the same

Result1.pgn – shows result of download action. To see the url click on the very top of the image and you will see

    alodar.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/820/?uid=2cbf8f3eer

Reslut 2.png show a similar result -looking for file with id names rather than file extension names.

Clearly the download monitor works with ids as the final part of a file name.

I have tried renaming the relevant files in my wp-content\uploads — Daydreams.pfd changed to 820 and PuzzleSolutions1.pdf to 823 but I still do not get the behavior that I want. I get notified of a download via a popup, have to save it, then subsequeetly open it with acrobat from my downloads folder. Since the file extenion type is destroyed by the renaming, there is no indication to go to ones download folder, this is quite undesirable. The user has to figure out to do all of these steps.

What is great is the behavior of download monitor if there is only a single file as a download choice. The endpoint to set to include the full file name with extension. When that name is clicked at the base of the webpage, it immediately appears on the users screen. Terrific piece of software!

My problem comes when there is more than one file choice to download.

Is there a way to specify the endpont spearately for each downloadable file? Or if I use a download slug (whatever that is), where do I set it to be distinct for each individual file ?

    Thanks for the continued help
