In reply to: [Relevanssi - A Better Search] Prevent empty/null searches?Hi Mikko,
Thanks for the reply. Very Strange, it seems like empty searches are being passed to the logs. Including a Screenshot. Any ideas?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Relevanssi - A Better Search] Spider or Bot Hitting SearchesHi Mikko,
Thanks for the quick reply. The character count limiter will work fine! Can I just drop that filter snippet in my child theme functions.php? I tried that and it still let the search go through but perhaps that’s expected behavior, perhaps the filter just prevents it from being logged?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

In reply to: [Open Table Widget] External call via HTTPSweet. I’ll look for the update in WP then mark as resolved. Thanks!
I can attest to the fact @julienmelissas’ stop-gap plugin works great. Thanks Julien!
@mrwweb – looking forward to you making that plugin obsolete ; )
I think this would be a very useful feature as well.

In reply to: [Open Table Widget] Widget title disableJust FYI, the free version still has title issues. I had to purchase the paid version to get it to show correctly. Not too cool.

In reply to: Media Library View Defaults to "Uploaded to this post" FunctionI was hoping for a little code to drop into my functions file to avoid having yet another plug-in installed, that said, it works as advertised. Thank you!
I bet there will be many people that find this useful.

In reply to: [Login Security Solution] LFD Alerts "Excessive processes running"I was just throwing this out there to see if other people had experienced this problem, seems you and your 50k don’t have an issue. cool, fine.

In reply to: [Login Security Solution] LFD Alerts "Excessive processes running"Daniel: running a very simple (and popular) set up. it’s the VPS-2 at knownhost https://www.knownhost.com/managed-vps-packages.html
WHM 11.36.1 (build 6)
CentOS 6.4
Apache/2.2.24
PHP Version 5.3.23 (handler suphp)
MySQL 5.5.30I did just notice PHP’s core memory_limit is set to 128MB, not sure what happens after that, but I wonder if it’s possible Login Security Solution is tripping that. Still it shouldn’t kill off my other services.
thank you!

In reply to: [Login Security Solution] LFD Alerts "Excessive processes running"Thanks for confirming that Daniel. I’m not exactly [resolved] yet though. My problem stems from the second half of my post, the part that says…shortly after my nameserver and mysql server die.
My web host techs think the plugin is actually crashing them. I wanted to see if anyone had had similar problems. I like the plugin and don’t want to leave it disabled for a few weeks just to see if my machine runs better.
Perhaps the plugin is running into some PHP process time variables that need to be tweaked? It zaps my available RAM and services start crashing?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

In reply to: Duplicate Category Slug Workaround Gone?ah yes there is @serpyre… and I see you wrote it haha. good marketing.
I’ve found a workaround, and $20 is a bit pricy, but I’ll keep an eye on it. if it gets good reviews, I’ll take the plunge. thank you.

In reply to: WP gallery shortcode images link setting@markkanning, which file does that code appear in???
having to add link=”file” to every gallery before it shows up is getting old quick.
I’d rather hack the core, then fingers crossed, after the next WP update it will be fixed.
thank you!

In reply to: [Image Gallery Reloaded] WordPress 3.51 Image Gallery Reloaded not working.Glad I’m not the only one this is happening too. Having the exact same problem as @alex above after 3.5.1 upgrade (and I suspect @esedit). After much trial and error I finally figured out my galleries started showing if I manually included link=”file” for each gallery.
Haven’t tried changing “ids” to “include” but that might work too.
Anyone want to write us a filter we can pop in our functions.php file to handle this automatically until the bug is fixed? Frankly it’s probably something in our templates, I know it’s not my plugins because this happens when all are disabled.
thanks!
