That’s just the thing, I just put up a post similar to the one above in my regular blog using IE and it worked just fine. The version I’m complaining about also worked just fine in IE when it was in a different folder. I’ll try firefox, … I have it installed ….

Maybe my question should be: what are the chmod numbers for the uploads directory?

I’m trying to upload a small images to a “page” and the error I receive is:
Unable to create directory /home/dgr/public_html/pr/wp-content/uploads/2006. Is /home/dgr/public_html/pr/wp-content/uploads writable?

Yes the directory is writeable. I ftp’ed the image into the uploads directory manually, but the image still doesn’t show. I have a little red X where the image should be. Any suggestions?

I tried again, using the HTML view, and added double [p] [/p]

Thank you. I did send a trouble ticket to my host, as I mentioned I can’t get to my C-panel either. My first thought was to run a repair on my database, but thought I’d check here too. Guess I’ll think twice next time.

I spoke too soon!!! NOT RESOLVED here.
My Blog was fine, my theme was fine, I was getting everything working “just fine”. Then I decided to try to fix my photoblog which has disappeared, and thought, “well, I’ll restore my database, and maybe that will help. NOT!!!

I restored my database (successfully) it said, and now when I go to my:
https://digitalgladrags.com/blog/index.php, or when I go to:
https://digitalgladrags.com and click on my JournalBlog link, I’m asked if I want to save it? If I click on my Photoblog link I still cannot get in, …. THAT part however is hopefully being addressed by Sylvia, I sent her an e-mail.

WHAT is going on??? I’m gonna throw in the damn towel I think! Please help me someone.

… do you have any idea how I can get my Photoblog back? What happened to my DB, …. it must still be there right?

… so, …. I went to /wp-admin/upgrade.php got my “SUCCESS” message, clicked on have fun, and there is a blank white screen where my blog should be …. (I think I’m going to cry)

I opened the config-sample file in notepad, and I put in the correct info for the DB, … now do I upload it as “sample” and rename it on the server side?
