I think the easiest way to say what I mean in the previous post is… How can I place shortcodes in template files?

I have the same problem. Deactivating and reactivating does not resolve it for me. Do I understand how to use the shortcode? I paste the shortcode into my text content on my page, right (I’m a novice).

I just cleared the cache for Chrome and the page looks OK, but the validation error still exists. Do you think I should ignore it?

Thanks. I removed almost all of the content on the home page and still have a problem validating that page. The only validation error I’m getting now is regarding the <hgroup> element – “Element hgroup not allowed as child of element header in this context.” What do you suggest I do? If I remove it from the header.php file altogether won’t other things get messed up? It was generated by the Theme, I haven’t changed anything but the child css file.

I don’t understand how that could be, I see it on my host. Can you tell me how you can see, or not, see it? Can not seeing it give you any clues on what’s wrong?

I changed themes. I replaced everything in my child theme .css file and only changed the page background color, but the problem persists. I’ve set up my files wrong.

I’ve spent over ten hours with this. I’d love to eat or go to the bathroom. Can anyone help (with the WordPress issues)?

I just replaced the complete twentytwelve folder and removed most images from the library – did not help.
