In reply to: Fast Secure Contact Form – leaving error messages in admin dash & on siteGov, thanks, I’ve loaded that plug-in and will try it out. I did get one spam email directly through the Contact form, and just realized that Contact Form 7 doesn’t use anything (captcha, math questions, etc.) to block out bots and whatnot, or am I missing something in the settings?

In reply to: Fast Secure Contact Form – leaving error messages in admin dash & on siteOne last question before I close this topic out: after I installed the Contact Form 7, my spam more than quadrupled in the last day. Could this be related to Contact Form 7? Or maybe I just need to find a good spam blocker plug-in… I just found the massive spam increase odd as it happened so quickly after I installed the Contact Form 7 plug-in.

In reply to: Fast Secure Contact Form – leaving error messages in admin dash & on siteHi, could you explain a bit more to me what you think the problem is, and why you recommend that I delete the folder (didn’t that folder just get installed when I installed the plug-in? So if I delete that folder, I no longer have the plug-in…??).
Thanks.

In reply to: Twenty Eleven – Want to Change Font in HeaderHi Esmi,
I read the post on Child Themes and followed the instructions for creating a new folder and putting a style.css file in it.
I tried two style sheet files; the first one had just this:
/*
Theme Name: Twentyeleven Child
Description: Child theme for the twentyeleven theme
Author: Your name here
Template: twentyeleven
*/@import url(“../twentyeleven/style.css”);
Then I tried it again with the bottom piece of code for changing the color of the header, just so that I was copying exactly what was provided in the example of the Child Themes article. However, both times, I get this error in WordPress when I go to activate the child theme:
Broken Themes
The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
Name Description
twentyeleven-child Stylesheet is missing.Do you have any idea where I might be going wrong?
Just a note: I’m not a developer, just a newbie who is trying to learn the basics.Thanks!

In reply to: Twenty Eleven – Want to Change Font in HeaderOkay, excellent, that helped me change the main title font. Do you happen to know where the code is in this theme’s stylesheet for the sub-heading (the part that currently says “Stories to Connect Cultures” on my site)?
Thank you, thank you, thank you! ??

In reply to: Twenty Eleven – Want to Make Header Image NarrowerHave bookmarked your blog.
The other query that I have is here (and I didn’t see an answer on your blog — I checked!):

In reply to: Twenty Eleven – Want to Make Header Image NarrowerBingo! That did it. Thanks so much. You are solving all of my issues tonight! I actually have one other (final) query that I posted in the forum about changing the font type in the header — I don’t want to take up all of your time, but if you have a chance to look, I’d be grateful.
Thanks again!!

In reply to: Twenty Eleven – Want to Change Font in HeaderHi,
We’re getting closer, but I still didn’t achieve what I wanted. I pasted this:
font:30px “Bookman Old Style”;What it did was just make the header to appear in the same font, but smaller. Also, it doesn’t change the sub-header.

In reply to: Twenty Eleven – Want to Make Header Image NarrowerHi mr49online,
Thanks for your reply. I have tried this just now but don’t see any changes (even cleared my browser cache). Perhaps I am asking for the wrong thing… I want the image to appear narrower on the page, but even once I’ve changed the function.php number from 288 down to 258 (and even tried 200), the image appears the same. I even held up a tape measure to my laptop monitor! Am I missing something? (Like a brain cell or two)?

In reply to: Twenty Eleven – Want to Change Font in HeaderHi,
I have looked in the style.css but couldn’t tell which part of it was related to the Arial font in the header. Any chance you can be more specific?Thank you.
