Thanks for the information about offline_access. I was trying very hard to figure out what was wrong. I hope whatever FB does, they don’t break how apps need this offline access to post to pages. The token for me is breaking within like a day or two, hardly anywhere near a week, let alone 60 days.

I have the same issue as reported by soyummykaya. The Grunion Contact Form doesn’t appear when I installed/activated Simple Facebook Connect. Would love to have both.

Btw, for me, I found that there is a difference depending on which version of MySQL I run.

With MySQL 4.1.7: YARP 2.1.4 works, YARP 3.0.13 does NOT work.
With MySQL 5.0.45: YARP 2.1.4 works, YARP 3.0.13 works.

Nothing else in the blog site changes. I just change wp-config.php to point to an alternate MySQL server I have on another system.

I noted other people have reported problems even when their MySQL is of newer version than the 5.0.45 I have. So I’m not sure if this is an important finding or not.

Like many others I also have had problems upgrading from 2.1.4 to 3.0.4 (even up to the latest 3.0.13). There is always “No related posts”. I really like YARP, but for now I have to go with Efficient Related Posts instead.

I hope this bug gets sorted out, I’d love to come back to YARP.

When you’re starting out, I think modifying from Kubrick is a safe bet. That’s what I did too. This theme is not overly complicated, it does the “right thing”, and because it already works… you can concentrate on what you want to change rather than spending all your energy figuring out all the little details that you need to take care of had you written from scratch.

It’s configurable two or three column, fixed or fluid width. Simple design.
