I realize I should have done a better job at explaining what I am trying to do. Actually, it is not so related to LaTeX, at least for now. Basically, I have a large text file with hundreds of notes in it—the file is well structured, with \newdate{} & \newnote{} commands, so I can easily parse it and convert the notes to another format. I tried to generate a xml file similar to what WP gives me when I export my blog, but unfortunately when I import this xml file no new posts appear. I was wondering if anyone had any experience in turning personal ascii notes into WP blog posts?

I also agree that I could have chosen a better title. However apparently now only moderators can modify it. Hopefully one will read that. What about “import personal notes from simple text files”?
