In reply to: [wp-Typography] unwanted insert of accent aiguThat’s right I get réclame (with one aigu) instead of reclame both words have not the same meaning the French réclame is indeed advertisment but in Dutch it is reclame what means commercial.
So do I have to wait for a Dutch option for “Smart diacritics”? Or is there a other way to get the word ‘reclame’?
I cannot use another word for reclame in Dutch. ??Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [wp-Typography] unwanted insert of accent aiguSorry I didn’t mention that, the language is Dutch and I tried both languages (English and German).

In reply to: [wp-Typography] Intelligent Character Replacement vs GREPyou can look in Firefox to https://wckb.nl and choose in the menu for ‘Linebreaks’ and your (wachtwoord) password is P3P3.
The first two lines ended with ‘. De ‘ in the second block of text you can see that those two ‘De ‘ are placed in front of the next lines.
Thanks in advance!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [wp-Typography] Intelligent Character Replacement vs GREPI shall try to make an example:
non-fragile space (is not the original name, you are right the actual name is NBSP) is a space between words who keeps its thickness and keeps two words together.Example:
thickness and keeps two words together (then it looks like one word). If
those ‘two words’ are at the end of a line and it doesn’t fit (and withThis does not read nice ‘word). If’ at the end of a line.
So if you put a NBSP between ‘word). If”NBSP”those ‘ then it will keep ‘If’ and ‘those’ together on the next line.
So if there is a way to make a rule to change the second space after a punctuation mark, if the word after a punctuation mark is 1 character to 4 characters long, then you can view the text in any browser and will always break the lines as you want them to break.Sorry for my poor English ??

In reply to: [wp-Typography] Intelligent Character Replacement vs GREPIf we can use the non-fragile space after the punctuation mark and after the word, then it will be solved I think. With off course the left-leaning text without any breaks.
Your solution with the non-breakable words works fine, so with help from that solution and the thin spaces or any other fixed spaces (non breakable) is the solution for this problem ‘I hope’. ??

In reply to: [wp-Typography] Intelligent Character Replacement vs GREPOK I understand.
What I am looking for is: automatically put a word of 1 to 4 letters after a punctuation mark at the end of a line of text to the next line of text.
This kind of problems can easily solved by GREP, maybe an idea for the next plugin ??- This reply was modified 6 years, 7 months ago by maced.

In reply to: [wp-Typography] hyphenations disabledHi Pepe,
you are great, your solution works great.
In the ‘Customizer’ at ‘Extra CSS’ I put the next lines:div {
word-wrap: normal !important;
-moz-hyphens: none !important;
-ms-hyphens: none !important;
-webkit-hyphens: none !important;
hyphens: none !important;
}And it works for all browsers (on my Mac) ??
Great thanks for the solution.

Ok, I thought that the checkbox ensured that no hyphenations were allowed, not even by browsers. There must be a way to show texts without any hyphenations in different browsers?
So I have to see if there are specific styles that destroy the snippets? :/Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [wp-Typography] hyphenations disabledHi Pepe,
sorry for my late response (it was a rollercoaster-day yesterday, ‘no time to breathe’).
Anyway did clear browser and page cache, but no difference.
I did that with different browsers.

I also tried to put some code in the xtra css:.site-content article {
word-wrap: normal;
-webkit-hyphens: none;
-moz-hyphens: none;
hyphens: none;
}.widget-area .widget {
-webkit-hyphens: none;
-moz-hyphens: none;
hyphens: none;
word-wrap: normal;
}In the Twenty Fifteen Child theme I changed:
5 Select where to save new styles:
To: Separate Stylesheet6 Select Parent Theme stylesheet handling:
To: Do not add any parent stylesheet handling.
