When I diabled ARVE ( https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/advanced-responsive-video-embedder/ ), I was able to close the ad. Somehow the other plugin was keeping the X button on the Ad from working.

The error should be handled. It causes the “There has been a critical error on this website. Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.” page to show on the site.

It’s sloppy programming and it should be fixed.

The Elementor?v3.12.0 update makes the body background black when logged into the wordpress dashboard with TagDiv NewsPaper Theme 12.3. Logged out it looks fine. I can’t find where it is doing this in Chrome Inspect tool.

You have to go through all the setup before that message will go away for the domain key. Do the full setup, then go back and click redetect and it will work.

Under main setting, “My site is behind a reverse proxy” should be on if using cloudflare.

Don’t forget to turn on “Install WP Cerber updates from the WP Cerber website” on the main settings so you get notifications of updates and can install them without downloading and uploading the plugin.

I can also accesss /wp-login.php although I can’t access /wp-admin.

I usually run enable “Immediately block IP after any request to wp-login.php” option and that prevents it from being accessed. I would think that wp-login.php should be blocked from direct access without this option enabled.

First, go to your main settings in Cerber and look for “Display 404 page” and set it to “Disply Simple 404 page.”

The Astra Theme’s 404 page is not compagible with the redirect and you get a “There has been a critical error on this website.” when anyone tries to access /wp-admin/.

Guys, user enumeration is possible without Cerber installed.

User enumeration is allowed in WordPress. It is not a security vunerability. If it were, WordPress should not ever be used because it is an insecure product. Think about it.

It also removes thumbnails generated for “Simple Local Avatars” plungin that should not be deleted. Probably because of the same error in logic.

@gioxx, I revisited the plugin and tried it on PHP 8.1 and PHP 7.4 and did not get any of those warning messages. What version of PHP are you using?

I am happy to say that I regenerated 100 thumbnails with no failures, so it looks like this plugin may be viable again. It took about 25 min. to do 100 images. The speed looks to be what it has always been.
