In reply to: [WooCommerce] Force user to select shipping method before checkoutThanks Ashish and Three Sons,
Thought I would update in case anyone else encounters the same issue.
I had tried that filter already without the results I was aiming for, however it turns out that this was because local pickup was enabled in two zones.
They had local pickup enabled in their main zone (limited to UK Region) and also within the ‘Locations not covered by your other zones’ shipping zone, based on the logic that users may want to use this option even if they don’t have a valid UK address (e.g. tourists).
As local pickup was always available in this zone, the system was defaulting to that option, despite the filter above, and then when the customer inputted an address and more methods became available, it was still not clearing that default selection.
I removed the ‘local pickup’ method from ‘Locations not covered by your other zones’, and now the filter is working as expected (and the customer is reminded to choose a shipping method on checkout).
While this does have some drawbacks, as it means customers always have to have a valid UK address to checkout (even if they are selecting local pickup), this scenario isn’t likely to occur frequently, whereas customers checking out with the wrong shipping selected was becoming a frequent problem.
Thanks
Mari

In reply to: [Accept Stripe Payments] SCA Compliance GuianceThanks for that @mra13 – Just logged in to the Stripe dashboard to check this, and the three payments are now showing on the main updates page as SCA compliant.
Also checked the logs as you suggested, and they are in the right format
Not sure why they took a few days to appear as compliant, as they were immediately visible in the Payments section, but fortunately it all seems to have caught up now.
There is still a message on the dashboard urging the client to ‘Upgrade to an SCA-ready partner solution’, so you may still want to get in touch with Stripe and ask them to add you to that approved list, but it all seems to be working so I will advise my client they can disregard that prompt.

In reply to: [Accept Stripe Payments] SCA Compliance GuianceUnfortunately I wasn’t able to submit the form link to them as contact information for you, as their form requires an email.

In reply to: [Accept Stripe Payments] SCA Compliance GuianceBrilliant. Thanks. Not using any add-ons.
It’s hard to tell if the system is just taking it’s time to catch up with the payments, or perhaps they weren’t large enough to trigger it, but despite putting two small payments through since upgrading/deselecting legacy, the Stripe dashboard is still showing no SCA compliant payments.
The client is planning on putting a large payment through tomorrow morning, so hopefully that will confirm that it is working.
Thanks for the contact form link. I will submit it on the dashboard. Definitely worth getting in touch with them though, as it first glance (without checking the info directly on your plug-in) it seems as though they are suggesting you aren’t, which might urge people away from your plug-in.

In reply to: [Jigoshop] Jigoshop Smart Coupons – Adding product variable to coupon emailThanks. I suspected it would require a code change, as those variables just don’t seem to be available to that email template.
Essentially the client wants some way of letting the recipient know what product the voucher is valid for.
Ideally, I would like to include the name of the product that it can be used on, and a link to the product page, but we can work with any option that will let us tell the recipient what product the gift certificate is valid for.
The way the gift certificate options work is great, and it allows us to do everything we need in terms of linking the voucher to a specific product, barring this one missing bit of information, but because the goal is sending people coupons as gifts for a specific product, it’s a pretty vital component, as the recipients have no way of knowing what product they can use the voucher on.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Postcode wildcards using underscore not working since updateWorks great. Thank you.
I had assumed spaces wouldn’t work, as my client had been using the BS___ option prior to update, and my searches for acceptable wildcard formats brought up the fix I linked above, but just tested it with the space and it’s working fine.
Thanks again for the input.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Postcode wildcards using underscore not working since updateThanks Mike.. I shall give that a go
I do just want to check one final thing.
On the Payment Settings page I am setting the Revenue Sharing Mode to Admin Fees, and then setting the type as percentage and the rate as 10%, as the global rate for the site.
One individual products with a higher value, I am manually setting the commission rate as 5%.
Does this use the same Payment settings that are set under Revenue Sharing Mode and use this rate as an Admin Fee (so the owner of the website gets the 5% and the vendor gets the rest), or does it works as a vendor commission?
Yes, that correct. I mean my client (who will be the admin of the site) will do it when they are approving products.
Just had a look and that’s relatively straightforward, as (assuming I am understanding the priority correctly) I’ll just have 10% set as the global rate, and when approving products the client will simply have to set the lower %5 rate on any products over a certain price on the vendors section under Edit Product, and this will take priority over the global settings.
Assuming I am understanding it correctly, I don’t think we’ll need a custom module, as it’s really quick/simple to set, plus they may find they have products of varying prices in the future, so setting it manually will give them the option to use different rates, or agree alternative rates with certain vendors (and set this under Edit vendor’s detail).
Thank you very much for your fast and very clear response. Very impressed with the software so far, as it seems to cover everything needed.
Great response. That is very helpful. Thank you so much.
