I tried the get_post method, but don?′t work at all. With that method I can make the list in the way I say before, but I don?′t want it on the sidebar. I trying to put that list (an another ones) above the main loop, and it shows in the main loop on the index de latest post for the latest category I defined in get_post, not the posts in the default category. I try to modify a little the main loop code to force it to show only the default category (and childrens of this category), and keep the lists working. If I can acomplish that, I tell you.

I?′m using it in my blog, to show only “news” categories on the frontpage, and left the rest for viewing by a direct link for their categories (normal, or childs). It?′s works perfect ^^.

Lorelle, I know that already, but that isn?′t I want. I don?′t talk about the category lists. It?′s about the posts showed in the front page. I want to show only posts from some categories, and avoid to show posts from the others.

I?′m going to do that, one category file per one ID. More customize capacity.

Thanks, that works perfectly, but the child categories don?′t use the template for the main. I thought I need to make copies of the main category template an call them with the ID of the children.

podz, that?′s the problem. My theme have all the necesary files: comments.php, 404.php, archives.php… All the files, but Wp still looking for them to the “default” theme folders instead on the theme active folder.

I want to call a file in the theme folder via permalink, for example, to call https://www.nn45.com/main/wp-content/themes/theme/filename.php, only use the URL https://www.nn45.com/main/filename. That is that I want.
