Problem solved!
With Widgets everything looks all right now.
I would have preferred to find the fault in my code, but be it as it may, I can try again when I have time.

I really am stuck with this. Could anybody help???

One more thing that might be a hint: In the default theme, my blogroll appears on ALL pages, but in my theme I wanted it only on the “ZUM BLOG” pages, and I had it like that on my local development server.
Why is it that there′s no more blogroll now?
All ideas welcome, please tell me what you think it might be.

(PS.: I don′t think it makes a difference, but I successfully upgraded to WP 2.8.4 today, the automatic upgrade worked greatly)

Problem solved!
I used the wp-config.php from the us-zip now and everything went smoothly.
Maybe there was something wrong with the the german installer-version I used before or I was wrong somehow.

Anyway, I wouldn′t have succeeded without your help!

Thanks a lot for the encouragement whooami, I′ll try again.

Two questions left which might help me:
– Is there any FOOLPROOF-no-BOM editor for PHP files?
– Could anybody point me to the download of a definitely CLEAN config.php ?
