In reply to: Where is the ".maintenance" file located in the WordPress Files?I have done all the updating, my Blog is back again and running but I want to delete the annoying message in my updates;
“You have the latest version of WordPress.
You have the latest version of WordPress. You do not need to update. However, if you want to re-install version 3.0.1, you can do so automatically or download the package and re-install manually:”
Which according to the codex will be removed after deleting the “.maintenance” file, So can you tell me where can i find this file??

In reply to: Can NOT upgrade to 3.0.1 Automatically OR ManuallyI just did the manual updating, it’s really easy!
Do these steps!
– Download the latest copy of WordPress from www.ads-software.com
– Download and unpack the downloaded copy
– Access your host files using an FTP Client i.e: SmartFTP
– Access your files
– Delete the old wp-includes and wp-admin directories on your web host.
– And now upload the entire downloaded copy of the wordpress, replace the old with the new!After doing so, just delete the .maintenance file and you are done!

The same thing is happening with me! ?? I have to perform checks on the “Broken Links” but I cannot activate the “Broken Link Checker” plugin, it gives fatal error saying the “xxxxx bytes exhausted” than again I have to rename the plugin to access my Admin Panel!!
Please help me!!
I’m using the latest WordPress!
As U told, I deactivated some of the plugins and it worked, W3 Total Cache was making the error, but when I deleted it, it stuck again; now the error is;
W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /home/madxpert/public_html/wp-content/db.php.
I can’t even access my WordPress Admin area, so how to?
Should I rename the theme-folder of my existing theme, will this work?
If I reinstall the WordPress files, will this solve my problem, I have to save my WP-Content [my blog posts, images and media] my plugins and comments…
Reinstalling the WP files will solve it?
Guys please help me!!!
