In reply to: [Wordfence Security - Firewall, Malware Scan, and Login Security] xmlrpc.phpThank you wfasa and mountaingui2. While we’re on this subject, I am also noticing that my Wordfence plugin has these urls whitelisted:
/favicon.ico
/apple-touch-icon*.png
/*@2x.pngI am not sure why this should be the case and what the latter two need to be whitelisted for, specifically? I noticed that the apple touch icon seems to be visited a lot, as well..
Any help would be appreciated!

In reply to: [Wordfence Security - Firewall, Malware Scan, and Login Security] xmlrpc.phpThanks for the help MTN and bluebearmedia,
Can you tell me what the purpose of XML-RPC is? If it is able to be disabled, what is its function to begin with?
Thanks,

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] IP2Location IntegrationThanks Jason,
For some reason I just can’t seem to find a place to put the license key on the “Add-ons” menu. There is just no field to enter a license key.
I tried to add a screenshot to this forum but instead of the image coming onto my reply, all I get is the file path when I drag and drop it.
Sorry,

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Two episodes not showing up on iTunesI have solved this..sort of..
Apparently the WP Video Posts plugin or the WP Show IDs plugin screwed up the feed urls. Now the feed https://maestromusicians.com/feed/podcast/music-affects-culture
validates on feedvalidator. I think we’re back to square one..Podcast feed is fixed but still no luck with the two missing episodes..I’ll quit while I’m ahead!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Two episodes not showing up on iTunesAnd to add to the mix, I am now not sure exactly if I have the feed address correct..
It could be https://maestromusicians.com/feed/podcast/music-affects-culture
since this refers to the series that I would like to showcase. Yet, when I plug that into feed validator, I don’t get enclosure tags either..In fact, this is what I get:
———————————————
[Valid RSS] This is a valid RSS feed.If you would like to create a banner that links to this page (i.e. this validation result), do the following:
Download the “valid RSS” banner.
Upload the image to your own server. (This step is important. Please do not link directly to the image on this server.)
Add this HTML to your page (change the image src attribute if necessary):
——————————————–Strange, huh? I believe that I was actually getting the enclosure tags on this feed before..Not the one above, which oddly is listed in the feed under “Podcast Settings”

In reply to: [Seriously Simple Podcasting] Two episodes not showing up on iTunesThanks Hugh for your attempts. I have read your document above and decided to try something in those two episodes out of the 14 published on my feed. I got rid of the %20’s in the podcast url and replaced them with regular spaces, just to see what happened.
Very strangely, I discovered something else (hopefully not another problem) in the interim.
After checking my feed (https://maestromusicians.com/feed/podcast) on feedvalidator.com, I now note that none of the podcast episodes are showing up. Before, if I am not mistaken, they were all present with enclosure tags. Even more strange is the fact that the 12 podcasts are still appearing on iTunes, as they did before.
Now I’m very confused and you probably are too!

In reply to: [podPress] Podpress not recognizing my mp3'sYes! The solution is actually too simple. The problem arose because I was using characters in the file name that were not alpha-numeric, such as hyphens and symbols.

In reply to: Help! No plugin menuGod news. I just found the solution! Apparently reinstalling WordPress is all it took..I think some versions of the one-click installation are flawed..
