More details on uniquely identifying an event for CSV-import can be found in my old thread, as it seems it has not been added to the documentation for months.

If you want to use The Events Calendar, due to its CSV-import, be aware it’s not possible for events with the same name and time (although difference in further properties). These shortcomings are not stated anywhere and don’t seem to be of any relevance for the TEC team to be improved.

Nice, so I will never be able to update to version 6. Maybe version 7 gets usable again ??

If I get an error message, I’ll post it. Deleting the plugin with all itds data is not a real option, as I need to do the conversion also on my live site with events.

It’s likely that 6.0.0 or 6.0.1 created a mess with its failure to convert times with DE locale correctly. Further failure messages were: “start and end date can’t be the same”, but that’s what the plugin automatically creates, when leaving the end date open.

Might get to import the dates from the live site and try it on a fresh site. However, the plugin screwed up and is not stable since 6.0.0.

Even with 0 events on my staging site the migration runs forever. Migration issues are not gone with 6.0.2 and it seems to me as nothing has changed to the better since 6.0.0.

Yes, it still works. It just doesn’t get (regular) updates.

The same happens, when you delete all events and start migration.

The update appears to have been released in an untested beta stage.

Page layout is fine. But the height of the map is much smaller than set.

I have the same issue. It totally screws the layout, because the map size is then overwritten with an inline style, whixh seems to be from Complianz.

I don’t want and understand that. Thus, instead of filling 100% of the upper layer’s div’s size, I have a small stripe and much white room. That’s a very an annoying issue for months.

Okay, thanks for the confirmation. Then the main reason for the plugin is obsolete, and I could have used WP All Import with CPT UI as well.
Please, update your documentation in the meantime, I couldn’t find any hint about that behavior.

I’ll create an Idea and hopefully, there’s a fix for this simple issue, so my clients can import their CSVs as expected soon.

I checked your data, and there’s also something missing. E.g. 4th September should contain 3 entries, but only 2 are there. The event with the same title, start date and start time is replaced by the last event listed in the CSV where these 3 fields match. The first one is just completely gone.

On a fresh website with only TEC with default setting, I get:

Import complete!
109 new events were imported.

Whereas there should be 123 imported events. So, I can confirm that there is something wrong and the CSV import doesn’t follow the behavior explained above. Your test import confirmed that.

Yes, I took it from there and I used Google Tables to adapt it. My content is German with ?,? and ü, but that doesn’t seem like an issue. Even in the raw file, I couldn’t spot an issue.

I can send you the file to confirm the issues, if I get a mail address.

I couldn’t say the CSV import works better than before the update. Still 20 out of 120 events are not imported at all.

Furthermore, I can’t find reliable information in the knowledge base, when an event is considered the same via CSV import. The name alone is and can’t be the only identifier, because then it wouldn’t import that many events.
