Hi @generosus,
I’m not quite sure what caused everything to go “wonky”. It was definitely something about the Divi theme update and the Wordfence update not being compatible. I ended up deleting the theme and installing a fresh copy. And when the website still would not come back up, I went through the cPanel files again…and discovered something really odd. The wp-admin folder was missing.
I’m not sure why I didn’t notice that before – I never opened it to begin with – so I wasn’t focusing on it. But then I found it buried at the bottom of the wp-includes file. I still cannot fathom how it moved there. I’ve decided it must be Gremlins. Little WordPress Gremlins that decided to toy with me today. LOL.
The good news is that as soon as I moved the wp-admin file back to its noraml spot – voila! The site went live again.
Thank you so much for the information you shared about Wordfence – that’s good to learn! And you were the only person today who gave me genuinely useful advice – it got me started in the right direction. That’s really all it takes, you know? Sometimes you just need to know “Where the heck do I even start?”, so you can stop feeling helpless and start working the problem.
I’ll check the error logs again tomorrow – I might still delete Wordfence and its files and install a fresh copy of the plugin. I rarely have issues with it so I’d like to keep using it.
Again, thank you for being around at just the right time. You were a lifesaver!

In reply to: WP-Admin folder missingNevermind! I just found it! I have no idea how it got moved into WP-includes – I never touched it. This is a head scratcher. Thank you.
@generosus Hi – thank you so much for trying to help. I tried option one and even though the “repair” was successful it left a message that said “The storage engine the table doesn’t support r…. (on all the tables it repaired – but the message was cut off and I could not find a way to read all of it.)
The website is still down. So it’s a puzzle. Still googling to see if I can find an answer.
Thank you for your advice – it was incredibly kind of you ??

It seems the issue did clear up completely by disabling the script blocker in the GDPR Cookie Consent Plugin.
Thank you so much for following up. ??
Have a terrific day!
Ah. That’s what I was worried about.
The client let me know the old site files were already taken down by the former host.
The good news is that at the registrar the old domain is successfully pointed to the new domain and the redirect there is working.
We’ll just have to come up with a workaround for any clients who still use the old urls.
Thank you for the quick response. I do appreciate it.

@treborcram Oh my gosh. I am not sure. It does not show up AT ALL when I am logged into the site and viewing the page.
But you are right. When I logged out of the site completely and viewed the page the form IS there.
That’s weird.
I did go in and deactivate each plugin one at a time (but of course – when I checked the page I was logged in and did not notice any change to the page.)
Maybe try deactivating and then activating each of your plugins? And then emptying your theme|site|browser caches once your reactivate all of your plugins? (That is what I did)
In the meantime – THANK YOU for letting me know you can see the form. I had no idea it
was visible for anyone because I was trying to see it while I was logged into the site.Maggie

AH! I found out how to add the phone number! However, it adds it to the top of the form.
I clicked on the arrows next to Custom Fields in the Order to see if it would move the phone number field down into the Billing Information area but it doesn’t work.Is there a different way to move a custom field down the order form?
Thank you!
Maggie
