In reply to: [evolve] very frustratingIt seemed like someone overhauled the design with each update. I had to go in and redo many settings and fix the css. This has happened several times. I’ve worked with many themes and some have made slight changes that resulted in some tweaking but not similar to evolve. Thanks for your attention but I’m ok, really. The name of the theme is correct. It evolves.

In reply to: [evolve] very frustratingNo, Thank you though. Switched to another theme that doesn’t go bonkers on updates.
I fixed this. I missed some saved media library items and they were in the customizer settings.

In reply to: [OceanWP] Top Menu not responsive/mobile – Other menu isIt starts with a G and ends with a Y and has ODADD in the middle. It is the original economy hosting and they refused to even go to 5.6 for months saying they couldn’t do it. Seriously? Of course for an “upgrade” but I’m only a volunteer.
I really liked the video. I wondered how to get the elementor templates into the customizer and after seeing the vid realized I was building in the wrong template area. No longer wondering. THANK YOU!!

In reply to: [OceanWP] Top Menu not responsive/mobile – Other menu isWow! Thank you. I will use the tutorial.
Unfortunately the server issue is out of my control.
I’m only a helper and have expressed my concerns. Not resolved. I removed the plugin I was using on a live site and couldn’t continue with it. None of the drop downs on the top menu would work. script conflict? I’ve seen other similar questions on this forum.

In reply to: [cformsII] errors on updateThe warnings show at the top of pages whenever the plugin is activated. Does “disable printing warnings” mean to disable the debugging?

In reply to: [cformsII] errors on updateWell GoDaddy was no help. Permissions were reset on all folders. I saw in another thread here that php version should be 5.6??? GoDaddy is only offering 5.4. Is that the problem?

In reply to: [cformsII] errors on updateYes, shared….the dreaded GoDaddy. Chatting with them right now. No improvement.
The links are very informative. Thank youForum: Plugins
In reply to: [cformsII] errors on updateI gave up on the update, deleted the plugin and tried installing from scratch. Same errors when activated. It wasn’t a big jump… just one step. All other necessary plugin updates on the site were successful
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Editor adds phantom "save" text in FirefoxI figured this out… at least for me. It was my pinterest extension in firefox. so I would suggest disabling extensions to see if they are the culprit.
I cannot edit in WordPress when it is enabled or it adds text. I contact pinterest about it with no response.
I’ve come here for this issue and I am confused about the discussion. Vulnerable or not? Can something be done?
I had saved them so I restored them. Why do they continue to be flagged as old core files.
The files are in wp-includes… I don’t have the names offhand but when I’ve tried to upload new core files there was no change. This has happened on more than 1 site on different servers.
I don’t think that more than 1 host would change the core files, but I could be wrong. I don’t use once click installs for any of my WordPress installations. I upload the installation file and I manually create a database.
Thanks very much for the response.
mjaraas27 I’ll check it out. I hope you get your issues resolved.
