Huh, I just removed the first set of conditional tags, and the URL lists work correctly. What’s up with that?

I turned off all the plugins on the dev site, and this didn’t repeat. So I must have had something causing this very odd issue.

It wasn’t fixed, it just changed the link to show what it is doing. I maintain over 50 sites, most of which use the plugin. It is frustrating to have to update and then click through to remove the message.

You’ve indicated you aren’t going to change this, but my issue is not resolved.

I don’t begrudge your decision, but some general advice would be to not be afraid of your theme. If your theme makes it so you can’t easily use a different one, it is a bad theme. I maintain over 50 sites, and folks pay me to not have them locked in to a product.

Since you paid for it, you should be able to ask in Thesis support about the Pods issue. Ask them specifically if you can switch to another theme without adverse effects.

Josh was correct in that he can’t know because he doeen’t use Thesis, but most themes will work switching back. It is something you should look for in a theme. ^_^

It could be Thesis. Try switching to one of the themes that come with WordPress (like TwentyFourteen).

What was the problem Pods had? I’ve done a similar setup with no issues.

It had to do with a plugin called Slickr Flickr.

In two separate case, I have {@book_authors} and {@officers}. Neither of them return anything when I use them in an existing template, or an inline custom template, inside a Pods shortcode.

Yeah, the thing is, {@NAME_OF_TAXONOMY} does not work for me, at all. I’ve been trying to debug this, but I could never get that basic thing working, hence asking if in the referenced post, {@genres} produced output; it doesn’t for me.

I tested on four instances, all latest WP and Pods, and with no other plugins on. Is this a bug you are aware of? I can’t find it in the issue queue.

Josh, two things. First, thanks for helping me in #pods the other evening. I ended up switching to magic tags, but I was able to figure out a solution to loading the image ({@logo._img.medium}).

Secondly, that is killer! And I hope that makes it up as an example in the documentation.

I don’t know PHP, but I probably have an intermediate understanding of WordPress template tags. I have a decent grasp of many Pods tags, but only those that have examples or are mentioned in the odd tutorial. I’ve used Pods in nearly every project in the last six months, and I am looking forward to snippet/pattern sharing. Which would make a great site… ^_^
