I am still commenting with my wp account, and it seems to default to bringing people to the old blog. That’s why I’d like to either get it to default to the new and updating one, or simply disconnect and delete the old one if that’s the only way to stop it. I’m just not sure if there would be a benefit to keeping the old site.

Yes I have transferred my subscribers over, but this does not solve the problem of new subscribers adding to the wrong blog. There is no reason to keep the wp.com blog running when I am only updating wp.org, right? This will allow my account to only connect to one site, bringing potential new followers to the right subscription page.

Did this still allow you to post as your new blog and have people follow it? If I continue to post on other people’s blogs and they decide to follow me, how do I get those people to follow the new one instead of the old? Was your deleting all your old posts part of forcing them to the new blog? Is there a way to lead them directly to the new one instead?
