Just an FYI for anyone else with this problem…I ended up just changing the size of the featured picture to fit into the function.php guidelines I chose and that worked. I tried to adjust just the thumbnail size when I chose the featured image, but that didn’t work for me. So I ended up having to resize the photo and uploading it a second time into my media gallery.

Okay, so by making feature thumbnail adjustments in function.php the actual size is changing (diaper pic for 50% off post became smaller), but the other one (cheesecake) is still being cut off and didn’t change at all. Not sure how to get it to fit without being cut off.
