Thanks alot for the response. This is kind of close to what I need.

I will have a look at it shortly. But to explain better, here is an image of what I am looking for:

The idea is: the home page of the site is 1 image and a menu on the left. The image is actually the most recent “post page”. I can code into the post template forward and back buttons myself as seen in the screenshot.

Hmmm, no response. Am I asking in the right place?
