OK. Most recent version is installed. I am now using the Twenty Seventeen theme. The problem I outlined above still exists; registered members cannot log into the site.
As well, UM forms are not showing up on their respective pages. I have followed to the letter the directions provided by UM on how to insert the short codes, but they do not appear. I can only test this in edit mode because I cannot log into the site.
Also, how long does it take for a deleted member to be purged from the system? I deleted a test account and tries to create a new one, but it wouldn’t let me, saying that the email address was already in use.
This is a total mess, and I am doing all sorts of work and getting nowhere.

Well, installing the latest version didn’t fix the problem. Didn’t change anything either.
You’re correct, I did not have the most recent update. I’ll update and give it a try and see what happens. Thanks.

In reply to: UM Login is not recognizing registered usersI disabled all plugins including UM. Without UM there is no login function. I reactivated UM only, and with the login function restored I tried logging in again and received the same error message I first wrote about. I cannot log in to the site using a mobile device because UM login does not acknowledge passwords on mobile devices, and I know the password that I am entering is correct. So why is this happening. It appears that UM is causing the problem. I thought this plugin was supposed to be mobile friendly.
I sent you a message via the page you referred me to. Unhappy that it does not seem to be the proper page for getting the tech help I need, plus it doesn’t have a button for uploading screenshots as you requested. I originally thought you had ignored my help request, until I discovered that WP support mail was going into my junk mail folder. Now I know where to look for your reply.
You obviously poked around my site to give it a NSFW warning, but you couldn’t find what was not working? The FORMS I created in UM are not working, and they are causing functionality issues.
The UM REGISTER form does not appear on the registration page, although thankfully the page does load. Mysteriously the UM LOGIN page works fine.
There are two links on the START HERE page that are supposed to take the user to the PROFILE FORM they select. The pages that are associated with the PROFILE forms (there are 2 created for different users) do not load. Instead, clicking on either link to those pages redirects the user to the Front Page. When UM is deactivated, the appropriate pages display, but obviously without the UM forms.
I have yet to be able to test the registration and profile forms because they WILL NOT LOAD.
These problems exist in the Colorlib “Illdy” theme I have currently chosen to use, as well as the SEOS Photography theme I originally started building my site in, and the WP Twenty Fifteen default theme. I can only assume that these conflicts are a result of your programming since all three themes I have tried it in do not function as they should when UM is activated. Currently it is only one of two plugins activated, and the problems still exist. Even when it is the only plugin activated the problems still occur. Also I should mention that these issues were occurring even before I updated the plugin to version 2.0.9.
Call me ‘Unhappy Camper’ due to the amount of time I have had to spend creating these forms and trying to troubleshoot and research what is going wrong, to no avail. What is most remarkable is that I have not found any other complaints in your support forums which describe or address these same issues.
