Were you able to find which plugin was the one responsible for it not working? If so please let us know and we can add it to the knowledge base. You can do this by enabling disabling one at a time. We recommend disabling all at first and make sure it works, then go one by one.

To help us with our investigation could you please provide us with the following:
1. Shortcode and a URL showing the WordPress Download Monitor working successfully
2. Shortcode and a URL showing the Contact Form 7 working successfully
3. Shortcode and a URL showing the Email Before Download failing

You could also try to see if there is a conflict between the plugins you are using on your website. This can be done by disabling all the other plugins, and see if it works. If it does try enabling them one at a time, to locate which plugin is causing the issue.

We have tested the activation/deactivation on the latest version of the WP and it’s working. It seems has some conflicts with other plugins. I recommend trying to disable/enable other plugins and try activate EBD in order to find out the conflict.

Thank you for reaching out and the questions. Currently, we are working with WordPress in resolving the nonce vulnerability. The latest patch version 6.9.8 is currently under review by the WordPress security team. The plugin is not removed but just temporarily closed until the WP team verifies our update fixed the vulnerability and it is good to go. The goal is to get this restored ASAP. I will post updates when we hear back from the WordPress team.

Yes, you can update plugin and this doesn’t remove any data from this database.

In regards to exporting the CSV, the url provided is an admin URL (https://www.skilledatlife.com/wp-admin/admin-post.php?action=ebd.csv&table=wp_ebd_posted_data), so we don’t have an access to this and can’t judge about wha is happening there. Probably there’s some conflict or general problem with server settings.

Are you sure this is the version you are running? You can see this number on the plugin manager page. The reason we are asking because 6.9.6 is one of our new versions that came out this year, a 2016 version would be much older.

Our plugin is built on top of the CF7 form, so mentioning these vulnerabilities to them as well may be beneficial. The vulnerabilities that were linked were provided from a 3rd party website we do not have full access to. If you have more information about this vulnerability and want to collaborate please let us know. Our initial investigation turned up no vulnerabilties on our side of the application.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Make sure Download Monitor and the CF7 plugin are both activated. If you provide the following it would be easier to look into this issue:

Could you provide us a link to a page with CF7 and Download Manager working? If you could also provide a page where you use the EBD shortcode as well, along with the syntax of the shortcode you are using?

We don’t use custom functionality to generate email. Emails are sent by using the WP function which uses standard PHP. So we assume that you have a problem with the email SMTP environment of your site.
