To create a translation in your language, you can save and then use a local copy of the plugin’s .pot (or .po & .mo) files. Then you can translate the individual words & phrases (instructions & tutorials to do this with POedit are on the web – I don’t have that link with me in this moment) and then generate another language file.

Once you are done translating you should save or save as or export (depending on your preferences in the POedit application); POedit creates the new .po & .mo files in your local language. Make sure that you name them properly, then use FTP to upload both files into the /language directory of the CollabPress plugin on the server.

Then Eric’s advice will work correctly: “They will be automatically used by WordPress when you have the corresponding language activated.” You should then have CollabPress successfully displaying in your local language!

I think the simple question is: How to make the link open in a new window automatically, using the standard target=”_blank” code.

For example, how would I assure that your string opens the following output in a new window (because it doesn’t):

I followed the steps in numerical order *exactly* as indicated – I used that post as my original guide for actions – but it still doesn’t work. The translation shows up in Poedit, too. ??

?? What is: “the path to the plugin directory in the po editor” – is that something that I need to do? (It is not mentioned in your instructions.) Is there some string or URL that needs to be in the .po/.mo files?

Yes, both are on localhost with adequate permissions. Tried again with versión 1.0.1 – but it stalled again. I’m not sure what else to do – ideas? ??

Hi, Frederic —
I wrote to you via another thread. I tried your plugin but it didn’t migrate images – at least, not into the database. The plugin displayed several errors, but images were migrated over – along with ‘ghost’ image file formats (a file with no image) – but they do still do not show up in articles.

Since I wrote that post, I tried again. The 159 categories were migrated quickly, then it seems to take a long time …after 1 hour it is still “working” the import.

Please let me know if you have other suggestions. Your plugin looks quite promising – I really thank you for your help!!

Did you try repeating the installation. I once did an import of Typepad/Moveable Type and WordPress was able to import articles/posts *without* duplicating the itemID/articles.

I have about 15,000 entries to migrate from Joomla 1.5 to WP 3.3.1 – and want to know if you’ve (both) had success with this plugin. ??
