I keep the old sites in a box just in case will need the original images but very rarely we change themes.

Regenerate is very easy with wp-cli and generate only missing dimensions.

Thinking though that once i regenerated in the past already optimized by imagify images and remember that worked fine even without the original images back.

Realized now that at one site only when backup is checked there are no backups and the opposite as i described earlier, contacted support already for this.

Btw settings where are saved in database to take a look if backup setting is stored incorrectly?

No when we uload is ok, backups are made for the images of bulk optimization (i think not for all but for many)

Also a generic question about backups.

As imagify retains the full (uploaded) image or more correctly replaces the original images with an optimized image?why can not regenerate thumbnails from this optimized image as it still has the original dimensions if will change theme?

buffer addon seems to fits better, even that reduces threads from 4 to 1 it seems time\to optimize a batch of 10000 is about the same!!! and cpu usage is much better

beat control has very small affection.

As i wrote, case is about very big sites, at smalll-medium everything is smooth

without any helper plugin.

Yes connectivity issues seem to be reolved mostly, have some php errors as described

but much fewer.

Still have some cpu spikes when running bulk optimization at very big site, will try Bulk Optimization Buffer helper plugin, i assume it works with 2.2?

at redis.conf, when is used only for caching persistance seems just reource consuming for nothing, maybe this setting will help you.

1)After 2.2.0.0, upgraded also to 2.2.0.1 today, .webp option disappeared there is only avif. So first question is what happens to old .webp images, need to reoptimize in order to e converted to avif?

2) There is no more button like was with .webp to just convert original images that just not had webp version but were optimized.

3) Seems that counting is wrong at bulk optimization, always were gigabytes as i have big sites, now kilobytes ???

Imo after such a major upgrade should be a notice before, and some documentation

i am checking at google publisher center > site > arrow (articles) under each section. All articles are there.

Frontend i mean the https://news.google.com/publications/blablabla url

feed seems ok in every aspect, if not articles would not be at gpc, can share it but is there a way to do not do in public?

can this etended to purge category of post? everything to me seems very fine with the plugin except the fact that after a post home page and categories are not flushed, probablysomething with detection of related pages to purge.

No nothing at logs and all other sites that have different templates continue to work very fine. Also same issue is at any machine, it is not os or redis server related.

The usual apache/nginx message (i do not remember exactly as i stopped it at sites with this theme) that appears when maxmemory reach.

With all other templates everything works perfectly
