i just posted this so ppl who serach for png transparency problems can find it, not to become popular here ??

besides, it is used for the header, for the “german” button, for the post div (notice those transculent borders?) and for the lightbox script (check image in portfolio).

get a hold of the static front page plugin by semiologic.com/software

just make a page in wp with the text you want to have as startpage
and give it the slug “home”.

for your image gallery you might wanna look into the lightbox.js javascript.

i recommend you start with kubrick, make the header art less in height, set the header title and description in css to display: none; and add a topmenu above the header that lists cats and pages and has a home link as well. make two cats where he can post stuff that he updates sometimes like portfolio and journal, make the rest of the site pages (like about and contact, business philosophy, etc.).

dont use a premae theme, style it your own.
that way it will look unique and you learn a lot ??

sounds silly, i know, but you didnt mention it…

wp-login.php and wp-register.php work,
but those files are in htdocs/public_html root dir,
i thought it might be a chmod problem,
‘cos as soon as you get redirected by wp-login.php
to /wp-admin/ it all hangs…

to test both ways i regged myself,
so just del member manumanu when
you figured it out…
