It’s not exactly what you asked for, but it is close and perhaps you can figure out a way to tweak it to be what you’re looking for.
If you use list_cats; you can set optiondates=1 and then “the date of the last post in the category to be shown beside the category name”.

When you’re on the Peramlink options page, did you put anything in the box labeled “Use the template tags above to create a virtual site structure:” before you clicked on the “Update Permalink Structure” button?

I use Simple PHP Gallery. While it might not have all the features that some of the other gallery systems have; it’s simple & quick to setup. Plus theming it to match the rest of your site is a breeze.

You could also use Denyerec’s Amazon Media Manager currently he only distributes it as a hack but with a couple simple rewrites; it works just fine as a plugin.

If you’re using the Quicktags, after you’ve written all the text that you want to appear before the MORE>>>> link then click the “more” button.
If you’re not using Quicktags, then type in <!--more--> where you want the break to be.

If your host renamed your .htaccess file; they may have made other changes to your server. Have you tried asking them what they did?

Well, it’s not a trackback but in the admin section under Options under Writing; there’s a textbox that you can enter in URIs of sites that you want to ping whenever you update your blog. Perhaps that would work for what you’re wanting to do?

I’d agree that the forums are the best support but davidprince’s idea of a buffer page is still a good idea since searching the forums (even with the improved search engine) can be problematic. Particularly for new users who don’t know what they’re doing and who will either not bother trying to search or won’t know how to phrase their search phrase to get the information they need. A collection of links to “popular” topics in the support forums (e.g. I’m having problem so & so) and links to the various bits of documentation scattered around the site would be very helpful to those new users.

Judging by this thread in the support forums, I’d say that your post.php is corrupt. Try deleting it from your host and uploading a fresh copy of that file.

You also need to make sure the links-update-cache.xml file under /wp-content/ is writable (chmod 766).
Note that’s links-update-cache.xml not link-update-cache.xml

1. Are you sure that you needed to change DB_HOST to supremeserver15.com? Most people can get away with leaving it at localhost.
2. A lot of hosts will prepend your database name & database user with your account name. If you have phpMyAdmin available; have you used it to confirm the names of your database & database user?
