    Hi

    Thanks for the breakdown.
Yes, I can see the possibility of it timing out during uploads, but according to your workflow the uploads are done BEFORE any inserts into the db.
If it therefor did NOT time out during the upload, and then did the first insert into the wp_frmt_form_entry table, why would it then not do the next insert into wp_frmt_form_entry_meta table?

I chose the single upload, as users should only upload one file per field, but I see there is a way to limit it to 1 even if you chose multi. I will implement the ajax multi-upload for future upload fields.

    Kind Regards

    Hi Nithin

I’ll check this particular ID to see if an ID was sent.
We do have another example though where a user received a confirmation email, but no submission exists in the backend.

    Thank you for your response.
I’ve contacted the host to enquire about the values.
Both settings are set to 300 seconds.

Can I check something with you? At which stage is the confirmation message shown on the screen? At the end of all the functionality – eg, after the inserts into BOTH tables? After the confirmation email has been sent? Therefor a user will ONLY see a confirmation message if his data was successfully captured in both tables?
We’ve had a number of instances where users see an error message on the screen. I’m trying to determine if these half inserts are perhaps part of that scenario.

    Kind Regards
    Maraleen

    Hi Kris

    1. I’ve requested the server error log and will post here.
    2. I will add.
    3. There are many conditional rules & 1 hidden field.
    4. Export of form: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qa8g6iqr6ap0ob7/export%20-%20forminator-bursary-application-2023-form-export.txt?dl=0

Thank you, the downgraded version does not display the problem. Will the next update include a fix? I just want to make sure I don’t update until the issue has been resolved.

Sorry, I see I missed some of your questions.
Yes, the concern is based on the missing submission IDs. I’ve looked at both forms we have and neither of these lists the forms submissions for the missing IDs.

There were no email notifications, no.

    Hi

    Thanks for the feedback.

We have 2 forms. Between the two of them, neither has the missing submission IDs.
The forms are used for bursary applications, and the concern is that some users have completed the application, but the data was not stored.

I have a spam plugin, AntispamBee, not Akismet. Yes, I checked the db for the is_spam flag. All values are set to 0.

The strange scenario in the db was specifically entries in the wp_frmt_form_entry table, but nothing for those IDs in the meta table.

    thanks

    Hi Adam

Following your instructions, my ‘form type’ selector was indeed empty.
The second dropdown, with my form name, was selected correctly.
The moment I select ‘form’ from the first dropdown, the export works correctly.

This website is hosted with Afrihost in South Africa. However, we have other clients at the same host, also using Forminator, who do not have this problem. Different servers though, so perhaps setup on the box?

    Thank you for your help.

    Kind Regards

    Hello,

I’m experiencing the same problem on a new website where export is critically important. It works fine on other sites of ours. When exporting to csv the file is 3 bytes big and completely empty – exactly as mentioned by others in this post.

In addition when I try to set up a scheduled export, I get an error message ‘Invalid form type’, which is also strange. Not sure it this is related, or gives you any clues.

    Kind Regards
    Maraleen
