For ongoing synchronization, you might try this plugin which isn’t supported anymore but may still work since it mostly relies on the built-in XML-RPC capabilities in WordPress.

I’d be slightly concerned about security with this plugin but you can obviate a lot of those concerns by running something like WordFence and iThemes Security together.
